GKH attorneys, staff and family enjoyed an afternoon at Hershey Park on Friday, August 10, 2012. This family friendly outing was attended by over 100 GKH employees and family members and featured a fun-filled day of rides concluded by a dinner picnic.
GKH was pleased to host Pooja Patel as a summer law clerk through the Camp 1L Summer Intern Program. Patel is from Levittown, Pennsylvania and is a first year student at Widener University School of Law.
GKH staff members Sherry Amspacher, Susan Boddy and Susan Miller were all elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the Lancaster Area Paralegal Association (LAPA) for the upcoming year. LAPA is a non-profit corporation that has been serving paralegals and legal assistants in the Lancaster Area since 1984.
GKH attorney Vivian Narehood will be honored as a 2012 Pennsylvania Bar Association Pro Bono Award winner. Narehood will be recognized on May 21, 2012 at the Annual Pro Bono Conference sponsored by the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Legal Services to the Public Committee and Pro Bono Office in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Bar Institute. The Pro Bono Award recognizes attorneys who have represented clients who cannot afford an attorney. Narehood practices in the area of special education law. Her pro bono service has not only helped make justice more available to all in need but has served to broaden and deepen her understanding of the range of problems children face and ways they can be resolved.
